Project Manager

Position Summary:

The Project Manager is responsible for the overall coordination, execution, and achievement of a Project Services (PS) project. To this extent, the Project Manager will directly manage the project team at the assigned Project Services (PS) project. The Project Manager reports to the PS Director of Operations.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Directly manages all project phases from contract award to project closeout.
  • Provides leadership and guidance to project team to achieve project and organizational goals; creates team alignment with multiple disciplines (mechanical, electrical, civil).
  • Establishes and maintains a positive relationship with key customer contacts; creates a customer focused project environment.
  • Creates alignment between project team and functional leadership (safety, quality, HR, accounting, purchasing) to ensure project goals are achieved.
  • Provides oversight for schedule development and maintenance; ensures project execution meets schedule requirements.
  • Identifies all project risks; creates and implements risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensures project is executed in compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Monitors key project metrics and accurately reports project status to internal leadership and external customers.
Job Requirements / Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

Position Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success in leading direct hire construction projects.
  • Sound understanding of project controls and project risk management tools.
  • Demonstrated engagement with key construction labor management personnel.

Education and Experience

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management

Experience: 5-8 project management experience in industrial construction.
